Health Care Reform
The ACA requires most individuals to obtain acceptable health insurance coverage for themselves and their family members or pay a penalty. 2018 is the last year for the Individual Mandate Penalty. The fee schedule is as follows:
2017 and 2018
$695 per adult and $347.50 for each child (up to $2,085 for families), or 2.5 percent of income, whichever is greater. For 2017 and 2018, the penalty will be adjusted for inflation.
