Kathy began her career in the insurance industry in 1999, after spending the previous 12 years in the commercial real estate industry as a licensed Broker. She holds a Life, Accident, Health & HMO license and is a designated Small Group Specialist (SGS) in her industry.
Kathy has always worked in the small and medium sized business setting. She specializes in Employee Benefit Plans, ranging from health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, group life insurance, short term and long term disability insurance plans, voluntary worksite, individual Long Term Care insurance and Medicare supplement plans in the State of Texas.
Over the past 23 years that Kathy has been in the Employee Benefits industry, she has built a strong reputation, not only with the clients she serves, and also within the broker and carrier community as a professional with the highest ethical standards who is highly sought out by her peers for her wealth of knowledge.
Kathy is involved in several non-profit organizations. For 15 years, she was a member of the Women’s Business Support Network and is currently a member of the Professional Women’s Exchange Group, and held various board positions within the organization. She is also currently a member of the National Association of Health Underwriters (NAHU), including the Texas state chapter and the local Houston chapter. She has been a member of the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo on the Feed Store Committee. Kathy also is a past member of the Friends of CanCare Advisory Board.
